2006 Ford cars and trucks - part 1
Ford Motor Company has been with us since 1903 and continues to be an innovative car company that sells its products worldwide. From their earliest cars FMC has worked towards making cars that were affordable and drove great. FMC has continued to build cars for the people they sell them too, smaller cars in Europe and today smarter cars that are better for the environment.
Below and in the next few articles we will take a look at some of the 2006 line of Ford cars and trucks. These reviews are gleaned from reading on numerous consumer and auto review sites.
2006 Ford Mustang
Most owners of the 2006 mustang, no matter which model, say it's the coolest looking car on the road. Many say it drives just like it looks, fast with great acceleration and a smooth ride. The 2006 Mustang has surprisingly good gas mileage for such a sporty car thanks to its V6 and Ford engineering.
On the downside of the Mustang for 2006 is the lack of a usable backseat but as one person put it “call your mother-in-law a taxi”. The rear window defroster does not do whole back window and gauges could use improvement. Still in spite of these small complaints most who own a Mustang agree it is exceptional value for a car with MSRP of less than 20k.
2006 Ford Focus
The 2006 Ford Focus comes with an MSRP just 13.5k and packs a lot of value in a small car with small price. Some user comments found state the 2006 Focus is a peppy little car that handles well on the road, has great gas mileage and decent acceleration. The Focus comes with a nice sound system, comfortable interior with plenty of headroom.
There were a few problems reported with the 2006 Ford Focus including squeaky breaks, occasional problems starting and some trim around the doors that came off to easy.
2006 Ford Freestyle
This is a great option to buying a larger SUV. The 2006 Ford Freestyle is a sweet wagon plenty of room for adult passengers. Owners say it handles well in the snow, has a smooth ride, is quiet and looks great from the outside. The back seats all fold flat to give you that extra cargo space.
The downside is the interior looks cheap, may not be as comfortable on long drives and could use more power. Power is a trade off for the better fuel economy and the interior does need improvement.
