The Grand Ford History
Ford Motor Company started June 16, 1903 when Henry Ford signed articles of incorporation with 11 others. From this humble beginning with only 28,000 dollars to launch the corporation with the Ford Motor Company began to shape and mold the world we live in today. The Ford Motor Company is credited with bringing about the industrial revolution and shaping the society we all live in and enjoy today.
In just a little over a month from starting the company Ford Motor Company shipped their first car to a physician in Detroit. This was only the beginning of what is now the history of the Ford Motor Company and their effect on America and the rest of the world.
In 1913 the Ford Motor Company introduced the assembly line where cars moved past workers who would do their assigned task from where they stood. This assembly line technique helped Ford to increase production past what they could have hoped for and made their cars less expensive.
Henry Ford’s and the companies goal was to manufacture cars that people could afford. They did a great job of making low priced cars and America loved to drive them. In 1925 Ford bought out Lincoln Motor Company, branching out into the luxury car market and in 1930 the Mercury division was created and focused on mid-prices automobiles.
Today the Ford Motor Company continues to produce great cars and the market cars to those looking for low priced cars and trucks as well as the midrange and luxury automobiles. FTM has always been a company willing to grow, try new things and serve the car buying market. All of what see today from the Ford Motor Company started with the dreams of one man, Henry Ford and today, more than 100 years later, FTM is still one of the most respected companies in the US and perhaps the world for all it has done.
The Ford Motor Company has since the 50s established itself in Europe as well as the US, Canada and Mexico. Henry Ford was ahead of his time and by keeping a watchful eye on the world around him, he was able to build what is today one of the most recognizable corporations that has global reach and changed much of the world that we live in today.
